Here we have a very rare 1983 Fender Japan ST62 in Salmon Metallic Pink with a 1994 40th Anniversary Neck.

JV serial Strats are considered some of the best that Fender Japan has ever offered and are very desirable. 40th Anniversary Necks are also considered a very premium and limited asset and are sought after by many guitarists all over the globe.
This guitar has melded the best of both worlds, giving looks and playablility like no other guitar in the world.

Not to mention, the ultra rare factory original finish.
This is the second one that we have ever seen and we don’t expect to find another one anytime soon.
Although it is hard to describe, it is like the pink version of Ice Metallic Blue.
You can also see the reddish hints of Fiesta Red, making it a truly unique color that we are sure both traditionalists and those with more modern tastes will love.

【Specs and condition】
In relatively clean condition considering its age.
Some dinging in the finish in a few locations, but we feel that just adds to the mojo.
There is also the usual stress crack at the neck pocket.
As for the neck, we see the very typical shrinkage and cracking in the Foto Flame veneer, but all of the wear is superficial with no structural damage whatsoever.

【Personal Impressions】
A total beast of a guitar. Fender Japan doesn’t get much better than this.
The neck is worn in just enough and its slightly fuller C shape profile offers a comfortable grip that can be rather hard to find on Japanese instruments, which are usually slimmer.
Whether you want to shred out in the stage spotlight with that ‘80s vibrant pink, or play those subtle & tasty blues licks in that dim club, this guitar has got you covered.
