Here we have a 1994 Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus.

These pre-Custom Shop Classics are simply amazing with top quality woods and specs. 1994 was the first year they added the “classic” silkscreen to the headstock because they were being mistaken for the pre-historic reissues (yes, they are that good!). Although the Top isn’t quite as crazy as some of the Premium Pluses, this guitar gets very close to those AAA Maple Tops and holds its own with the less crazier Premium Pluses. We’d say these might even be a little more tasteful ;)

The Trans Amber and zebra pickups (both are now zebra!) are very reminiscent of Slash’s legendary AFD.

【Specs and condition】

In great playing condition with tons of beautiful natural finish checking. Nothing beats the real deal when it comes to the beauty of weather checking. Also, no major issues with finish flaking, which can be a problem with the guitars if this era, especially with the headstock.

The guitar shows overall signs of use, but nothing more than some minor to moderate cosmetic dinging and scratching.

No issues or repairs with the guitar at all and it plays amazingly. 

- 60’s Slimmer Profile Mahogany Neck

- Seymour Duncan 59 neck and JB bridge (* the neck pickup in the pictures is before the swap with the Duncan 59! The pickups are both beautifully zebras now.)

- Original Frets with fret nibs at about 70-75%

- 4.1 kg (≒ 9.0 lbs)

- Beautifully checked Trans Amber finish, a la Slash’s AFD

- ABR-1 Bridge

Comes with unoriginal hardcase as photographed.

I mean, good wood era woods with almost Custom Shop reissue quality and specs, weather checking to knock your socks off. All for the price of a brand new Les Paul...What is there not to like???
