Here we have a 2001/2002 Fender Japan Richie Kotzen Signature Tele.

Although this model has been reissued from 2013, this one was part of the first run.

Due to all of the unusual specs, some people hail this guitar as one of the best Telecasters to have ever been made.

Whether you’re a fan of Richie or not, there is no denying that this guitar is a beast.

【Specs and condition】

The guitar shows signs of wear. Superficial scratches and dings are all over the guitar, as is to be expected of a guitar of this age, but it is still in very good playing shape. The hardware is tarnished and the gold has rubbed off in places.

The Super Jumbo frets have some wear to them as well, but still have lots of life due to their sheer size.

There is some cracking around the pickguard screws. The screws for the neck pickup have been replaced.

Other than that, it is in good playing order and we would describe it as in great “Players’ Condition.”

- Lightweight Ash body w/ Flame Maple laminated cap

- Thick profile Maple neck w/ Satin finish

- Brass bridge saddles (as opposed to the non-specified current ones!)

- DiMarzio Twangking and Chopper T pickups

- 22 Super Jumbo Frets

- Master Volume and Parallel/Series Rotary switch (no tone control)

Comes with original gig bag as photographed. Please contact for brand new soft shell case for an extra $100.

【Personal Impressions】

As more of a Gibson player, the Super Jumbo frets and thicker neck are very comfortable. The special specs make it truly a thing of its own, yet it isn’t too foreign. Very versatile and a great starting point for Les Paul lovers who are interested in Fenders. A great addition to any studio/arsenal/collection.

Get it while it lasts!
